Our Story & Our Mission
Our Story:
We are The Cook Family. We are advocates for agriculture, hunting & self-sustainability, the military/America, and living free. The meaning of living free is personal to everyone and carry’s different meaning. To us it is about providing for ourselves in as many ways as we can and living free from as much reliance on the government and corporate chains as possible.
We open our ranch for educational programs and bettering yourself through others. To learn more about Mike & Krys Cook you can go to “our team”.
Our Mission:
Our programs bring together special populations who can benefit from them. We are fully aware of the therapeutic qualities that the outdoors offers, and we want to share that gift with others. Our programs teach participants how to approach the outdoors, make use of it, and utilize it as a tool for themselves, all while instilling discipline, purpose, happiness, community, support, and drive. These are lifelong skills that can be translated into therapy and shared with their families.
Our objective is to run 8-10 programs annually, focusing on first responders, veterans, and at-risk youth. Currently, we have a Navy SEAL Gold Star program, a program for combat wounded women veterans, a Navy SEAL snowboard program, bird hunts for widows of police officers, veteran charter fishing trips, and more programs in the pipeline.
Our goal is to establish long-term programs where participants can build a supportive community while being guided by our team of volunteers.

Our 501c3 is 100% volunteer based. Money donated goes directly to our programs and to The Ranch to run the programs. Donors are welcome to donate directly to the larger organization or to a specific program.
